In addition to direct investment to the charities and community projects in the areas we work, Sinopec Daylight encourages and supports the time its employees spend giving back to the community in an active and meaningful way. The Company strives to endorse programs that add to and help Sinopec Daylight employees participate in building and maintaining a healthy caring society.
Sinopec Daylight Shines - Community Investment Program
The evidence of the Company's community support is the Sinopec Daylight Shines Community Investment Program:
- Two Hands Program that supports employee volunteers (and their families) and
- Two Times Program that matches employee charitable giving.
These initiatives have increased the impact that Sinopec Daylight's employees have made in their community.
Two Hands Program - Employee Volunteerism
Where employees and/or their families actively volunteer their personal time for approved charities or established not-for-profit community organizations, Sinopec Daylight will provide financial support.
In order to heighten awareness of community needs and promote the importance of volunteerism, Sinopec Daylight participates in the following community projects.

Shared Christmas in conjunction with the annual Christmas party, employees donate goods and services for a silent auction to benefit two charities. In 2011, the beneficiaries of the program were the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation and Wood's Homes Foundation.
In 2011 Sinopec Daylight acquired a lot in Drayton Valley for the 2012 Humans Helping Humans Housing Foundation project with the goal of providing affordable housing to the town of Drayton Valley.

Brown Bagging it for Kids works in partnership with the Calgary Board of Education and the Calgary Seperate School District to combat increasing numbers of students attending Calgary schools without a lunch. BB4CK delivered 1,500+ lunches each day to over 60 schools in 2011.
Two Times Program - Matching Charitable Gifts
Sinopec Daylight will support employees and families by matching their donations dollar-for-dollar to approved charities or established not-for-profit organizations of their choice. The program also matches employee pledges for the Annual United Way campaign and charitable fundraising activities or events such as walks, runs or rides.
